Hopefully the first of many...

It's been a long, long time since I blogged. But, I decided as a new year's resolution to start a vlog. This isn't the same thing, but it's close enough

So, my day started at 8:15. My mom woke me up, and I promptly went back to sleep. I got up again at 8:25, and went back to sleep again. I woke up at 8:35, and this time actually got up, went downstairs to let the dog out. I didn't shower, just went to coach. I showed up 10 minutes early and played on my iphone. The kids took a while to show up, and we started ten minutes late. I had the four of them do a team tournament. I let a couple of them play with the gong. I shouldn't have. Now they'll do that every week. I also used the words bellaestra and fleche. I shouldn't have done that either because now they're going to try it. Fuck it.

I went to get a couple of new suits with my mom after that at Mark Shale. I still smelled bad from last night, but not terrible. I found two really nice ones, and my mom threw a coat and a corduroy jacket at me cause they were on sale. I kind of feel bad for buying wool, but what am I supposed to do? I also got a shirt. My mom winced at it, but I think it looks ok.

I got some biscuits from Popeyes on the way home. God damn those things are good. Got prescription cat food, too. The receptionist at the vet is hot. When I got home I tried to organize my photos on Picasa so I could easily put them on my iphone. It turned out well, now I can show all my pictures to my friends when I'm not at home.

That's what inspired me to blog. I want to be able to look back at my life through photos, so I'm going to put a lot of photos up here. The blog is mostly a supplement. Hopefully there's more posts to come.

There's probably going to be a band practice tomorrow. I fixed my bass yesterday (the ground wire to the input broke off), so I'm good for that, but I still haven't learned "In my time of dying." I also have to read A problem from hell. That should make for a fun weekend. I should get on both of those things. I'm going to my dad's house later, so I can try to focus on that while I'm there, or maybe I'll post again.

Where's that Confounded Bridge?

So, for some reason Led Zeppelin inspired me to blog. Right now I'm in Atlanta, it's 10:00 PM. I've been here for two hours planning to do my homework, but not doing it. I'm pretty upset right now. I'm getting a low B in AP US History. I'm worried I can't pull it up. Maybe I should set my sights lower for college. I'm not giving up, I'm still going to work my ass off in APUSH, but I want to be realistic.
In other news, my band Dead for a Ducat not doing open mic in April Open mic. Instead, we're doing the Paul Green School of Rock Battle of the Bands. Should be fun. We're bringing the organ. Still looking for kazoos for Crosstown Traffic, ebay shows some prospects.
I have some really great news, I got 15th out of 102 fencers in the Men's Div III tournament. I'm very proud of myself. That was yesterday. Afterwards I went to one SEC game, Gators v Bulldogs. I was tired as hell though and slept through half of it.
Today I got up late, since my mom left for home and I could sleep in as long as I could possibly want. I had to go downstairs and meet Nabil and his mom at 9:15 to see Emory. I was really blown away. I didn't think I'd like it, but it was SO PRETTY. Everything looked so new. It's cause they have a whopping $4 billion endowment! It's not too far away from a big city, and the curriculum seems nice. I think I'll check it out on campusdirt, but I would definitely consider going there. Then afterwards, we went to this really nice restaurant. They had a good veggie menu. I felt bad because Mrs. Salem paid for the entire thing ($72). The food was amazing tho. I loved every bit of it. Then I came back here and talked to a lot of ppl for three hours. Fun weekend.

Ahhhnold and Zombies

So, this is my first blog on blogger, and I hope to be a regular poster. So anyway, today I was in Ohio for the Arnold Fencing Classic, and who should I meet but the big guy himself! It was a diplomatic meeting, of course. I am a governor myself, of a show called talkin funny. You can watch we win here. So anyway, he seemed a lot shorter than I expected. Still, it was amazing. There was a photo that somone took that looked amazing. I ordered a print and will upload it ASAP. Other than that, Today didn't go amazing. I came out of pools with a losing record, though that last pool bout would have at least gone into priority if my blade didn't fail mid-bout. In DE's I beat a little girl then made her cry (NOT INTENTIONALLY). Then I got my ass kicked bad by the 26th seed in the country, a guy named Dick Richards. That name got me thinking, who names their kid Richard Richards? Just a thought. So anyway, on the way back I read the entire zombie survival giude. I really enjoyed the stories about zombie attacks, and in terms of a home survival giude it's not too bad. It does most of its homework, too. So Imma talk to my friend Keegan's friend Drew about starting a group to move to a more defensible location at a moment's notice. If you want to join up with us, say the word and I'll see what I can do. So, long story short: Arnold=cool zombies=scary fencing=wierdest names on the planet.
